Long version

Willow was born in 2001 in Slocan, British Columbia, Canada. As a child, Willow and her grandfather would take turns reading stories to each other on his couch in his home. She knew she wanted to be an author as early as eight years old and made a number of picture books, including a comic about her superhero pet hamster called “Super Hammy.” She was heavily influenced by works of epic fantasy in her early years, as her grandfather would read her chapters from Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time, Stephen King, and David Eddings. On her own time, she read books such as A Wrinkle in Time, the Bones comics, and Goosebumps.

Due to the 2008 housing crisis, Willow’s family was forced to sell their home and move across the country to a military base in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. A number of years later, her grandfather passed away from a health condition related to prolonged alcohol consumption. In 2023, Willow published her first novel “The Beauty of Dawn.” She dedicates all her books to her grandfather in honour of his memory.

Willow graduated from community college in 2022 and is currently attending Acadia University to finish her degree in Business Administration. In 2023, she founded Indieverse Magazine in an effort to eliminate the self-publishing stigma and connect readers to quality independently published works of sci-fi/fantasy.
